Teacher Appreciation Day (Week)

Teachers don't get the recognition they deserve for the life changing impact they have or have had on ALL of us.  Here's to teachers everywhere!!  I am glad to see at least a little public recognition come their way with the proclamation of "Teacher Appreciation Day" because it is well deserved!

What better way to celebrate than with a big Site Wide Sale on Teachers Pay Teachers! Yes, it is that time of year when all the stores on TpT get together and collectively offer discounts on their products.   It is our way to show our appreciation for you! Most every store that is having a sale will be offering discounts of 20% and TpT kicks in an additional 10% if you use the PROMO CODE: TAD13.

A group of us SLPs who have stores decided we too would join in on the celebration and show our appreciation with a "Speech"er Appreciation Day Sale.

Now how cute is that? The title was the brilliant idea of Teach Speech.  This adorable button was the creation of Shannon.  I have to share that Shannon created this while studying for finals!  I tell you we have some truly awesome SLPs in our field!

The sale will be Tuesday and Wednesday May 7th and 8th, so be sure to go pick up some of those wishlisted items while you can get them up to 28% off! Or perhaps browse through our shops for summer therapy ideas such as my new Beach Themed Language Unit!

Mark this on your calendar or write it on your To Do list because this is too good to pass up!

Have a happy and well deserved Speech-er Appreciation Day!

Collection of Summer Freebies For You

It's BETTER HEARING and SPEECH MONTH and to celebrate I thought why not treat everyone with freebies for the end of the year and summer!

In the early days of blogging here (almost 3 years now) I would share websites and web pages that I came across that I thought you might not know about.  Boy Oh! Have things changed in a short period of time!  There has been an explosion of idea sharing with the rise of social media!  Now we share things on Facebook pages,  LinkedIn, Twitter and our blogs on a daily basis.  I might also mention that the number of SLPs blogging has increased dramatically.  How does one keep up?  I know I have a hard time and I'm retired and live in the cyber world!

Even though everyone has their own bloggers they love to follow and many sources from which you get your information, I still wanted to share some FREEBIES with you to take you through May and the Summer!  It's been a while since I shared just FREEBIES :) so enjoy this post and pass it on!

I made a "call for FREEBIES" from some of my special SLP friends and they came through with some fabulous treats for you.  Happy BHSM everyone!

Shannon Lisowe shared 2 books that she felt would be good for over the summer-

Kristen Cummings shared some animals-

From Jenn Alcorn you get these 2 fun things- She says swimming and ice cream=summer!..and  I think we all would agree!

TeachSpeech wants us to have a Bee-utiful summer with this-
