Thought I would do a little focus each Wednesday on one of our new language products, in addition to the regular Monday posts where we share tips, tricks, and ideas!
Today I would like to introduce you to our new Opposites Game. I babysat my 6 year old nephew on Monday because he was out of school for President's day and he loved it. We think your kids will too!

This game is to build understanding and use of opposites in a naturalistic context.
Opposites targeted are
- Hard/Soft
- Big/little
- Push/pull
- Wet/dry
- Good/bad
- Happy/Sad
- Up/down
- Hot/cold
- In/out
- Day/night
- Above/below
- Tall/Short
- Yes/no
- Laugh/cry
- On/off
- Young/old
- Thick/thin
- Give/take
- Loud/Quiet
- Smooth/Rough
This game offer 2 levels of game play targeting both receptive and expressive language skills.
Level 1- receptive - Plays as a matching game to teach opposites as pairs;
Level 2- expressive - Plays similar to a "Go Fish" type game with
the student learning to verbally express opposites through game play.
Game includes:
- One game storage bag
- 40 opposite game cards
